Hall of Fame Watch, 1991.

Note, 1997:  (This is just the summary list, without the analysis.)  Five hundred games before breaking Gehrig's Iron Man record, Cal Ripken rose to the level of Guaranteed Hall of Famer in my list, when he won his 2nd MVP award.  I still clung to the hope that Dwight Evans could stay in the company of Eddie Murray and Dave Winfield, whose career credentials he approached as late as 1991.  Seems so long ago.
